Tons of champion changes and a complete item system revamp (headlined by the removal of the Mythic item system) are the biggest adjustments, but the addition of new Void monsters and the changes made to the Rift Herald and Baron Nashor have also significantly impacted the gameplay \u2013 and this is just the beginning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over on the competitive side, <a href=\"https:\/\/escharts.com\/news\/league-legends-esports-changes-2024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">LoL esports also saw some major format adjustments<\/a> to its biggest tournaments around the world. While most of these primarily impact Western regions, there\u2019s an elephant in the room well worth discussing here: <strong>the winner of MSI will now directly qualify for Worlds<\/strong>, providing an additional slot for their region (as long as they qualify for their region\u2019s Summer Playoffs), with each main region starting with a base of 4 Worlds slots. Additionally, the international competitions (MSI and Worlds) saw their formats changed in a bid to ensure that there are no meaningless dead rubber games late in the group stages, meaning no one can
